Edi Gillespie began dancing at the age of 9 with a professional career that started at only 16 years old. Her dance training is impressive to anyone who knows dance. She was blessed to grow up in the dance capital of the United States (New York) so her training has been second to none. She studied at the Eglevsky School of Ballet, Hofstra University, Henry LeTang Dance Studio (tap), Phil Black Dance Studio, and of course was one of the fortunate to study with The Joffrey Ballet right in her home town, New York. You’ve seen Edi in several Las Vegas shows including “Siegfried and Roy”, “Hands Off” at the Imperial Palace and at Circus Circus as an Aerialist/Dancer right here in Las Vegas. She spent some time in Japan as a dancer in “Hello Hollywood” and the Latin review “Las Vegas Nights”. Edi feels she has been so fortunate to have worked with such professionals as our own Inez Mourning, Leon Varkas and international producer Bill Lloyd. Throughout her professional career she has enjoyed teaching and has for the past five years volunteered as a dance instructor at Family To Family allowing her pleasure of introducing the world of dance to children of all social economic levels. We are pleased to have Edi join our staff sharing her talent with our young dancers in training.
